would definitely be helpful in doing an upcoming power point presentation

i just did a powerpoint on how to make a good powerpoint haha =] .. well one thing is that everyone looks at the screen, you should look at the audience and practice in a mirror. also, you dont want to read right off the screen, and if you cant remember what you want to say for that slide then you should print a notes page which has what your gunna say but its not on the screen. also dont use a distracting background or too much color text, it takes away from the message and people will be focusing on the colors more then the message. also, dont use to much words on a slide. keep it about 2 to 3 bullets, each a line maybe 2 long. and the size in the 20's. i do 28 . its better to use a light background and a dark font color because even when you us a black background with white text, its more distracting and harder to read.. well i hope that was helpfull

I've seen slided where presenterd include too much information on one slide. My advice is make the slides basic talking points. As you create your talking points think of all the possible things you could discuss to your audience to clarify that talking point. Also, sometimes presenter look at their slides to much during the presentation. Take the time to make eye contact with your audience. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine....
