Does anyone know how A.J. Quartermaine died on General Hospital? I was watching it yesterday and Jason was talking to A.J.'s grave and I must've missed the episode where he died.

AJ has been gone for quite sometime. Here's a little tidbit of information to catch you up on his antics:

Michael was kidnapped along with his brother, Morgan, and his step sister Kristina. Although the two little children were returned, Michael was presumed dead. Photos surfaced of him shot and left in a Louisiana swamp.

Unbeknownst to his parents, he is quite alive and has been abducted by a very much alive AJ Quartermaine who has returned from his feigned murder to claim his son.

However, when the children were recovered, Michael went into some sort of fugue state (or is just plain evil) and smothered his father, AJ, who was strapped to a hospital bed.

The child is just now starting to remember and have nightmares.

It was discovered that Dr. Asher Thomas actually killed AJ, suffocating him in his hospital bed.

It was believed for a while that Michael did it and they were even writing it as such however, fans were outraged and did not want the killer to be Michael. The writers hustled to change the story and so it ended up being Dr. Thomas who did the deed because AJ was blackmailing him.

Hope that helps..........

I thought that Jason pushed him off the second story of the Quartermaines stair case. Maybe Jason shot him 2

Michael and him were in the attic and everyone thought that Michael killed him, but it turns out that Michael's therapist Dr. Asher Thomas murdered AJ.
