Janet folded a large piece of tissue paper in half. The fold divided the paper into halves. She folded it in half again. When she unfolded it, the folds divided the paper into quarters. She continued to fold and unfold the paper until the folds divided it into 128 equal parts. How many times did Janet fold the paper? Use a T-Table.
Does anyone know what a T-table is?

Each time the number is doubled till you get to 128.

Like this.............1 then 2 then 4 then 8 then 16 and then 32 then 64 and then last 128.

Janet folded the paper 7 times to get 128.

T-table in the 5th grade is a bit advanced. I'm not saying you're not smart but take a look at the link below to see for yourself.

I am in 8th grade and a little bit confused. But here is goes.

T-table: a T-chart, which has 1 line ( | ) with another line near the top ( - ) to make a lowercased t (it looks like a cross, too.) On the top left side, write "Folds" and on the top right side write "Parts". On the left side, write 1 (for 1 fold.) On the right side, write 2 (for 2 parts). That's all I know.

Hope this helps!
