How hard or easy you find physics depends on a number of factors, many of which are outside your control. It helps if you have a good teacher. It helps if the assigned texts are well written and easily understood. It helps if you have covered the mathematics before you encounter it in physics. It helps if you have an enquiring mind. The fact that you have done chemistry helps a little (but how difficult did you find chemistry?). If you have trouble understanding the text books, go to a bookshop and try to find a physics text that you find easy and enjoyable to read. Finally, it helps if you can work together with friends in the class.

I hope you enjoy it.

I took Chemistry I my sophomore year and struggled (ended up with an 85). I also hadn't taken PreCauculus (a recommended requirement for Physics B), but I was encouraged to skip Physics I by my teachers nonetheless and decided to go on to take Physics B (aka Physics II, Physics AP).

This year, my average in Physics B is a 98.5 (I have a really good teacher, but his tests are incredibly hard).

This is how you'll know if you will do good in physics (whether it's Physics AP or Physics I):

- You do your homework and understand it. (very important!!!)
- You have fairly strong math skills.
- You have some amount of intuition
- You are dedicated to doing well

And you can always get help on this site! (just don't copy+paste homework questions, that won't get you anywhere)

Good luck, and I encourage you to at least try it out :)

Nothing intrinsically harder or easier about physics than other subjects. If you like science, or logical thinking, or experimenting or have a good teacher, physics can be fun and easy to learn. Caveat: I majored in physics and "humanities", so am biased.

it is only hard if you dont understand it. work hard to understand and it will be easy for you. also it has a lot of math stuff, so if you are troubled in math it will be hard for you too.
