I am going through the same thing! I bought a few staple items:

1. A good fitting pair of jeans
2. A good fitting pair of black pants

Tops should be easier to wear a little longer... Also try picking up anything that should be snug somewhere cheap like Old Navy. Remember, whatever you do buy (and it's ok to reward yourself a little) you can always sell on ebay or at a used clothing store.

I too have lost a lot of weight. 50 lbs. in 6 mo's but I eat Lean Cuisine only. I'm sure your diet is more healthful but to be sure I think you might need a check up.You seem to be losing too fast. OK- for the clothing situation. I wear a size 4. I wash my clothes in cold water then hang to dry. When I get to my goal of size 2 (I'm only 5' tall) I will put my clothes in the dryer to shrink them. In the beginning when I wore a 12 I would buy 1 new pair of jeans and a few shirts then go to Goodwill and buy more for $3.00 each. Just not underwear! Some will say YUK GOODWILL but if you know your name brands and wash the clothes in hot water there is no harm in buying from Goodwill. From what I see here in my town, word has caught on that you can get some very nice items and there are wealthy people who shop here too. Then when you outgrow those clothes, donate back to Goodwill. Or if you know a seamsress, she can take the clothes up for you. Good luck!

Congrats on the weight loss! As for the clothes thats the only draw back to losing weight, try belts which are rather lovely right now and can help accentuate your new smaller waist line. Also finding a tailor or good alteration shop could be helpful and less costly than going out and buying a whole new wardrobe. If a new look is really necessary try consignment shops or ebay for less expensive trendy pieces.

Good luck!

I was told that losing more tahn 5kg a month is unhealthy. Gadual weight loss with proper diet n exercise is advisable n more long-term in effect as it is a total change of lifestyle. Usually, people lose more weight at the beginning n slow down after losing a few kg, which is normal. If you are losing weight at a fast pace n still continuing losing, and your appetite and day-to-day activities affected, it's a worrying sign.

well- how long do you have to go until you hit your target weight?

investing in a couple of rotational, vital pieces that fit you properly NOW is probably a good idea- sell the old ones (ebay, thrift store, etc). in addition, consider buying clothes that are flattering to more than one size or adjustable (wrap dresses/sweaters, etc).

and remember that oversized pieces can be worn if balanced properly- ex: oversized blouse with fitted jeans, looser slacks that now sit low on the waist with a fitted top. look to gap for inspiration- they're all into slouchy couture atm. waist-cinching belts and other accessories can ensure you may get another couple weeks out of your old clothes.

good luck!
