How to Stop local MSSQLServer from command line?

Ok - I know the following code can do it:
net stop MSSQLServer

but I want to double check that this will ONLY shut down the local MSSQLServer on my personal machine - and wont affect the crucial ones on the network.

Yes, it will only shut down the MSSQL server on the computer you type it in on.
