What do you think?

The question isn't fair on a few points. I personally dont care because I dont like rap music nowadays anyway. In the 80's it was different,it had true musical merit and was stylish. Now alot of rap is about pimps,ho's,bitches,bling-bling,money,expensive cars, bluntz, guns, oversized clothing, cussing, violence and of course demoralizing women.
If someone looks at these videos hears these songs and is emphatic on emulating their behavior, then yes, you could say that it is encourageable. I for one would not be influenced in any way by any rap video or song. If children, and I say children because they to me would be the only ones who might be affected negatively by these rap groups demeaning women, and using drugs and such.
Adults who would want to be like gangsters and offend women (or not offend women...some women must enjoy it too) are of no consequence because everyone has the freedom of expression and right to live by whatever code of ethics they choose, however vile in your eyes.
So in a nutshell,if you would like "rap" banned because you find it perverted and downright criminal, I say your wrong because your in violation of freedom of expression. If you feel your children are affected by MTV........I say its your house, your television, your cable, your electric...YOU forbid the watching of the program,..not the rest of the world

I like Howard Stern. Many find him distasteful, vulgar, rude, and "degrading to women".

So should he be banned too because maybe you dont like him? The radio has a dial......TURN it!

LOL, it looks like your asking for some suggestions. Try some dirty south rappers, you'll see something you like. And if you are asking if it is degrading females, no it isn't. You are. People like you create a market for degrading raps by buying these worthless rappers' CDs. The industry sees that people like this dumbed down form of music and mass produce it. Then dumbasses like your friends buy it, and you blame it on the rappers instead of the real problem. Word to ya mother.

Rap music is degrating to females, males, whites, blacks, gays... The list goes on.

But we like it that way. It's an outlet of sorts.

If you dont like it, dont listen.
