tragically...my mother...I was 9 yrs.old..she was only 42...

I believe it was the funeral of a man named Charlie Kautz. He was one of my father's best friends, and he was also the Athletic Director of Marshall University. If you have ever seen or heard of the movie with Mathew McConaughhey, called We Are Marshall, then you know something about that plane crash. This was my home town, that it happened to, and Charlie Kautz died on that plane. *sm*

I don't remember. But I was 9 years old and was with a group of family members who sang gospel songs as part of the service.

in grade 7, this kid's grandfather died, and our teacher made the whole class go for "support". It was the saddest thing ever. I cried, I didn't even know the guy!

Some dude that was the son of a guy my dad worked with. Don't remember if he was shot or committed suicide, but either way, it was an open casket and they didn't do too well with disguising that hole in his forehead. 30 years and the image is still in my noggin.

10 years old I went to a step grandmothers' funeral. I didn't really know her at all.....I was scared and didn't like it...

My grandmother's when I was 8 years old. My mom, sister and I walked in her apartment and found her dead. That was the first time I had ever seen a dead body.
