She took one cause she's having a hard time believing she had a miscarriage. Doc told her she couldn't have kids and she's been trying for 5 years now.

She is still going to have hCG in her system for a few weeks, that's why the follow up visit after a miscarriage is scheduled a month later, so they can retest after the levels have decreased. It is hard to cope with such loss, and denial is common. Just be there for your friend if she wants you around and give her space if she needs to deal with this alone.

my friend was pregnant for almost two months when she had some heavy bleeding and which the doctor supposed t be a miscarriage. but the pregnancy continued. if your friend really got a miscarriage, the hormones produced during her pregnancy might still be present causing a positive result on her tester.

Well your bodies hormone levels will still be up for like a week after the misscarraige becasue your body has to clean up and if your friend had a d&c after misscarrrige then the body will still say your prego when your not I am sorry to hear that and tell her i feel for her my cousin just had a misscaragie at 12 weeks and she is a mess

You still will have some leftover hormones after a miscarriage. Why is she taking a pregnancy test immediately following a miscarriage?

It means she still has some of the preg. hormones still in her body. They will go away when her body realizes she no longer is carrying a child. It may take a few days

Unlikely as it is - could she have been carrying twins??? If she's still showing positive in a couple of weeks, it's definitely time to see a doctor.

Her hcg lvl probably hasn't gotten back to normal yet. Normally the doctor will ask her to come in to get checked to make sure her lvls are coming back down to normal properly.
