That's easy. Montreal Canadiens. They've got 24 Stanley Cup. More than any other Canadian teams combined.

If you are talking about which team is the strongest this year the easy answer is the Ottawa Sens. The Calgary Flames are under-rated because of the tough division play this year; they are the best Canadian team in the west.
If you are talking about which is the best Canadian team in general than the obvious answer is the Montreal Canadians. Steeped in tradition like the Maple Leafs but with far more success.

How can Calgary be under rated because they're in a tight divison? VANCOUVER IS IN THE SAME DIVISION, and they're leading it at that. If anything, Calgary is OVER rated.
As of right now, I think it's a toss up between Vancouver and Ottawa. Ottawa is a more complete team, but Vancouver has a monster of a goaltender...
I'll take Ottawa, because Luongo is carrying the Canucks a good deal.

Maple leafs all the way!!!!
though off course when you only look at points, ottawa is doing better, but that's just points, they mean nothing. the leafs are the best team in both canada and the rest of the world! our defense men are great, we work together like a team, you know there's a perfect line for everyone on our team. we're just the best! and one day the points will show that too! you just wait and see! =)

The Ottawa Senators or Vancouver Canucks. Im a Sens fan, so i'm gonna say the Sens. They have deadly scoring, solid defense, and a really solid goaltender. Vancouver on the other hand, has good defense, superb goaltending, and at times limited scoring.
Make your choice. i say ottawa

well the two best are Ottawa 98 pts lost tonight vs Bruins and the Canucks with 97 pts and still plays tonight and can take that spot.
