my friend told me this, if its not true, what really happens?

The bidding for the equipment is bloated and it is the reason that it was so expensive that when computed per button it will cost 30 cents each.

Myabe the electricity? But since we pay taxes to pay for the government, we are actually paying!

We all know those things don't work. It just gives us pedestrians something to do while waiting for the light to change.
