It just depends on how the schedule is written. 50 50 shot at it. It seems like I usually had a couple of classes with my friends.

I went to a fairly small high school, with only about 150 people per grade but I wasn't in a single class with my best friend first year. All of the classes were compulsory though, so everyone was taking them all. If you got to select a lot of your classes odds will be higher, but if you are going to a large high school and a lot of people are all taking the same classes as you and your friend, odds are low.

Try and get lockers next to each other.. that's what we did and it worked out well. Also in subsequent years we were in many more classes together because we chose similar classes.

But don't worry, you will have tons of time to hang out together at lunch and breaks etc. Also, if you don't get classes together you will have the chance to meet new people which is always fun.

I guess I'm the same age as you. I'm going to be a freshman next year too. You'll probably have lots of classes with her. If you're taking a music class, I figure that you'll have that one together. It depends alot on how popular the classes that you are taking are. If they're very popular, then there is a smaller chance that you will have the class together.

Just because you signed up for the same classes doesn't mean you'll have them together. I took the same classes as some of my friends & we didn't get any classes together. You could have lunch with her or something. That's how I talk to the friends that I don't have classes with.

Don't sweat it .. High school might not be very fun, but it'll be over with before you know it.. The time flies, it really does..

it depends on how many students are in your grade. if u are both taking the exact same classes, then there is a pretty good chance u two will be together in some of them.

even if your friend isn't in the same classes as you, you will still see him/her during breaks and lunch. and also high school is a great opportunity to meet hundreds (literally hundreds) of new people. so take advantage of this next year and make as many new friends as you can. i'm not saying to get rid of your best friend. keep him/her and make others too. otherwise you'll regret it later.

As much as you want your bestie go through high school in the same classes as you, now is not the time, high school determines what you initially will do in life when you leave, so i'd be worrying more about studying than wondering what classes you and your friend end up in.
It doesnt however stop you from hanging out with them during your lunch breaks and free classes.

I didn't have any of my friends in my classes, and I'm a Junior now and I still don't get any of my friends in my classes.

I made new friends though in classes I have, so there is a chance that you will make new friends if you're outgoing, but I hope you get your friend in all of your classes, high school isn't any fun without friends to make things better.

:]

I was in the same classes except 1 per year with my best friend in HS. He took french I took Spanish. We were both in all honors classes though, and there weren't many of those offered.

it's only by chance that you'll be in the same classes. the classes are larger, and they split people up. they also split up those that are smarter than the ones that aren't. you might luck out if your in the same class - but from a selection of 8 periods, not likely. you'll be lucky if your lunch is the same.

just prepare for the fact that freshman arent SHYT in highschool. to them you're imature and stupid. not worth any ones time...lol as far as your question...who cares..?

lol ok im kidding i promise ;)

go to the councelors office if you dont have any with them and get 1 or 2 classes switched to your best friends classes. just tell them there are a few kids in the class you cant be around and you would like it switched to maybe (whatever period shes in)
it worked for me ;)

good luck
