How is it that when a Christian believes certain behaviors are sinful based upon his belief in God s/he is considered a bigot? And why is it okay to criticize Christians and conservatives but not minorities and liberals?

the manner in which i 'lump' these two groups together is due to the fact that they are the ones assaulted. a Christian is not necessarily a conservative or vice versa. i am simply making a generalization based upon my observations.

because the people who call Christians bigots have no argument...it should NOT be OK to criticize Christians and conservatives but not minorities and liberals...but the average America needs to start taking a stand to stop this from happening...stop spending money on media groups who shove liberals ideology in your face...too long have liberals taken advantage of the kindness American have because of the their Christian belief...many Christian need to learn its OK to be stern and a Christian...

It's hatred and intolerance that makes someone a bigot, not the belief that another person is sinful. It is completely possible to think that someone's behavior is sinful and not be a bigot. It's also possible to be a bigot without being religious.

The reason it's ok to criticize Christians but not minorities is because Christians are the majority in the US and it's generally accepted as ok to criticize the majority. It is not considered ok to criticize the minority. It's the same with race or any other issue. As far as conservatives, I am not sure but I would guess that it's the same reason... although depending what you're watching/reading I've heard plenty of jokes about liberals.

Please keep in mind that not all Christians are conservatives and vise versa.

I note that you lump Christians and conservatives in the same category. How do you know what another believes? How do you know that a liberal does not pray or worship God. Just because they don't try to shove religion down someone's throat does not mean they do not have personal beliefs. Maybe it is a question of respecting others and toleration. If you look back in history you will find that most of the wars that have happened have had religion as their basis. I don't think God is a republican and I think that Bush's actions have made him quite sad. Apparently conservative Christians have no problem with innocents dying by the thousands in Iraq or American soldiers sent there by a lying president. I am a liberal and proud of it. If Jesus were here, I hardly think he would be a Republican. Christian means christlike and most republicans are hardly that.

Because that's the way the militant secularists & their fellow travellers in the main stream media want it to be.

I agree with you. Many of us base our morals on our religious beliefs. The fact that the Bible says something is wrong does not mean that it should NOT be illegal.

I don't care what different religions preach, just don't legislate according to religion. I criticize everything, especially liberals.

Conservatives are Christians and minorities are not.
Is that what your evil satanic mouth is saying? Go kneel down and pray and ask Jesus if you're right and I bet the Devil - your God - will answer you!

Because when you base that opinion on a 2,000 year old book it makes us laugh.

It's OK to criticize ANYBODY. But when a xian tells me that homosexuality is immoral, I never get a real explanation other than "the bible says". LOL!
