I want to know: why is it important for everyone to know how their heart functions and stuff like that? I don't want opiniated answers, or responses like 'because its good'. I want facts if that's OK.

Personally, I don't think it is the most important thing for people to know how their heart functions but I do think it helps them take care of it and themselves better when people understand their bodies.

In the case of the heart, knowing how it functions, what your own typical resting heart rate is, how it beats when you are active, and so on can help you, the owner of that heart, recognize the little things.

It is really simple, imo, when you know your body well, you can catch things that seem out of the ordinary, observe them, and then decide if they need to be looked at further or not.

Cocci and bacilli can set in on the heart at any time. Knowing that burns felt in the chest may not only be heart disease, but it could be rheumatic fever, and it can sometimes result in Endocarditis.

Hemolytic Cocci, such as Beta Hemolytic Streptococci Meningitis is very dangerous to the heart, and large doses of penicilin or one of the tetracyclines could be helpful.

It is important to note that smoking can increase the risk of measles pneumonia after any respiratory infection, such as bronchitis, or any other pneumonia.

Measles Pneumonia is leaking of fluids from which a prior respiratory infection ruptures or starts to leak.

It isn't. Your heart functions just fine whether you know about how it works or not. Just think of the millions of years hominids have been around before the science of anatomy was developed. They lived well enough to have good lives and have descendants!
