Yes, they should be able to tell the sex. Typically between 9 and 12 weeks the genitals are differentiated and by about 16 weeks--sometimes even less, the sex of the fetus can be seen on ultrasound.

I went in for my ultrasound @ 18 wks 3 days. I asked if I could "guess" by looking myself, first. It was obvious! He is all boy. So, yes. It is detectable! I'm excited for you! Boy's parts look like a turtle, Girl's parts have 3 solid white striaght lines. See if you can tell before the doc does. I loved it!

If they can't tell the sex of the baby at the appointment tomorrow then they definately will be able to at the next on depending on the baby's position (sometimes they can be alittle shy) Go to webMD.com and they have a pregnancy calander that can help you track your baby's progress. Good luck and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

they will be able to tell. i founded out at 18 wks if you can take a piece of candy along with you or a small snack to get the baby moving around so it won't be so hard for the dr. to see i hope u get what u'r heart desires but remberthat as long as the baby is healthy that is what really matters

They may be able to see gender. Easier to see after about 21 weeks. Check out babycenter.com. It gives week by week development and pictures.

They should be able to tell the sex now. Our hospital wont tell you, so we are waiting to see an OBGYN that has an U/S machine in his office. Hopefully we will get in and get to find out. Good Luck, Congratulations.
