Honestly... I do not get it... just because the bible says it does not mean it should apply to our country... seperation of church and state. People can not help who they are attracted to. Why should the government decide who can marry and who cannot. If someone told me I could not marry my boyfriend I would be really mad. This country is based on freedom isn't it? And why do people call it "immoral". It is just how these people feel

What's the definition of marriage? In short it's a legal union between a man and a woman (Websters Dictionary). That's why. You can't change the definition of a word just to suit your agenda like Bill Clinton did.
Also, the bible says a man shall not lay with another man the way he lays with a woman. Depending on how religious you are, that right there says "NO".
Besides, who says you have to be gay? Couldn't your brother or sister marry the best same-sex friend even though they're not gay?
Men and women now get married just to gain citizenship. Most times they've never met let alone kissed, bumped uglies, etc.

I know how you feel. Though I think homosexuality is a sin, I'm not going to go up to a homosexual and point out their sin. It's not my place to judge them. I know that I'm VERY sinful myself anyway. How can one sinful person point out the sins of another sinful person? Anyway, they are being treated like second class citizens just because of who they are attracted to. It's really sad! Isn't it in the constitution...that EVERY MAN IS CREATED EQUAL! Why don't they get equal rights??? I say let them get married! I also agree that church and state are separate...Why should the morals of a religion that not everyone agrees with be forced on to us by laws. It's not like homosexuals are hurting anybody!!! I can understand some laws such as "Do not kill" are the same in law and in church. I mean, killing negatively affects us but how does homosexuality affect heterosexuals? IT DOESN'T! What 2 people do in their bedroom is THEIR BUSINESS! Don't drag the government into it...They've already screwed up this country enough! I maybe straight but I would let homosexuals do as they please.

If it doesn't benefit the government then it's wrong. I agree with you. Gay marriage should not be considered wrong if two people love each other and want to spend the rest of their life together. Gay couples and have children through artificial insemination or adoption, but can't marry? Is that twisted or what?

Why is gay marriage so wrong? Because of where it says it's wrong: the religious fanatics who spew hypocritical verses from their own mouths and then point the finger at other people and say they're wrong.
Now, I'm not gay, but I support pro choice.

i beleive in God and the bible says that u sould be married to a oppisite sex. but i am don't think i am the 1 to tell some1 if they can get married or not.
