Can you help me troubleshoot my Maxi Micro Drive (2GB USB flash drive)?

It hasn't worked for a while and I have no idea why. The computer reads it when I insert it into any USB port --- the device lights up, the system tray tells me I have a USB Massive Storage Device installed, it appears as Drive E on My Computer, yet I can't open it up or even format it (it worked in the past, although not very well). It is a plug n' play and I have XP, so it can't be a driver issue. Even if I go to the Properties page and try to scan for errors, nothing happens. Windows Troubleshooting doesn't work either. As you can see, I have no idea what else I can do....help!

Take it back to the vendor. They should replace it, if under warranty, if it is defective.
