Every question is valid, even if it tries the patience of everyone around you!
To the person asking it, it is a curiosity. You need to know. This is how we learn, by asking questions!
Why is the sky blue?
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
Are you awake?
Normal! Normal! Normal! Even if we laugh at ourselves because the obvious answer is right in front of our faces, it is human nature to be curious.
So remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question...only a stupid answer.

The one I like best is: There is obviously a pregnant woman standing in front of you and you say "Are you pregnant"
