Considering all your daily problems (if there are any!), you are given the choice to become amnesiac (let's just say that it could happen miraculously). You could wake up the next morning and not remembering anything will give you the choice to start a new life.

1. Would you do it? Why?
2. Do you think it would be an useful solution considering that you would completely lose your identity?

Yes I would do it. I think forgetting yourself and the crap daily life offers you would be a benefit for living a happy and more fulller life. There would be no consequences and you could fully live yourlife.

I think losing your identity would be a good thing. We are all made of the same stuff. Identity only allows us to differentiate from one another when really we all experience very similar things. People pride themselves on identity when identitiy based on culture and family and state only gives a person a simple reason to identify themselves instead of digging deeper into finding themselves. People also fear death because it is the make up of their memories that will be lost. Memories make a person's identity. If you have no identity, death won't be feared.

ok appears like its Crystal to the rescue :P I also had an same issue with my ma, I had to positioned on those cotton ones and they stretch a lot once you opt for well being club or some thing. They make your chest really come out and that's amazingly embarrasing, I had to have my palms crossed only to flatten abit at the same time as i became talking to boys and my acquaintances. So about your mom. listed below are some steps which could help you convince your mom to get one. a million: Say that you're embarrased to go out with a cotton one because it stands proud too a lot. 2: Say this on your mom: have you ever felt embarrased once you've been a newborn like me? If this does no longer visit plan, only save as a lot as purchase one and manage a visit to the textile shops consisting of your universal and depended on reletive (ideally a woman that wears the bra u opt for). make efficient u tell ur reletive to "save it a secret". i wish any of this helps slightly :)

2.Yes, a new identity would suit me well. I just have so much angst over my past.

I have trouble remembering things now, sure wouldn't want that to happen. No matter how terrible things have been in the past, it's got me to where I am today, and that really isn't so bad, considering all the problems in the world! For me, it wouldn't be useful at all..........

If something tragic happened in my life or if I was a dangerous criminal too dangerous to keep in jail and the govt suggested to erase my memories, then yeah maybe. Or if I knew that maybe I'd have a total different life and personality (and knew what personality I'd get) I 'd go for it.

No I wouldn't do it. You know what they say the grass always looks greener on the other side. You might be opening up a can of worms. With your own life good or bad you know where you stand. But a new one no thank you not for me.

A LONG time ago, I probably would have. But now, I have people who mean more to me than anything- I'd never want to lose my memories of them

I wouldn't do it--my experiences, both good and bad, are what make me who I am as a person. And having a clean slate does not mean that your life won't continue to suck.
