silly, serious, dirty, whatever, they never get more than 20 or so answers? I think it's because people can see the number of answers, and if there's more than 5 or so they skip it.

I take a chance and answer anyway, if I find the question interesting enough.
Although I've heard that the askers only really check out the
first page. I don't, I like to see all the answers !

I wonder about that too. Sometimes I think it's a popularity contest. You can ask the same exact thing as someone else - you'll get 20 responses, the other person will get 50. Go figure!

I don't know. I used to think that too. But today I had one get 73 answers! I never can figure it out. Must be the moon phases or something.

i think it is cause if they read the answers left by others, they may see the same thing that they were going to leave. I know I don't always answer cause I see the same or similar thing I was going to leave.

I read the question first and decide whether to look at it or not. Not by how many people answered it.

sometimes people just don't waste their time on ones with too many answers because they think you won't read it sOo they don't even bother...
or maybe they just don't like you (j/k)

i think if they don't know you they don't answer-seriously-sometimes it's a clique thing.
