I dunno. <_< anyway then it was just there for 10 min twitching its last seconds it tryed getting up and running away had this burst of energy. i dont think its death was caused by any toxins or anything. and its death wasnt because it fell off its perch. maybe he had a heart attack? help me determine the cause of death, also im not taking it for a autoposy

It sounds like a heart attack, aneursym or some type of damage and internal bleeding. Birds are very good at hiding sicknesses until it is too late. He could have fell off of his perch or flew into the cage side too hard a couple days ago, and it is just now catching up.

Very sorry for your loss.

Parakeets, as with all birds, are very sensitive. It could be as simple as a breeze coming in from somewhere. Any cleaning products, temperature changes, and even stress can kill birds. If you fed it anything weird that could have contributed, if you smoked around it, or if it had been stressed out in the store right before you brought it home. I'd say if you got it from a petstore, bring it back in (even if it's dead) ask the sales associate what they think, and ask for a replacement (unless you suspect it's something in your house that coule have killed it!)

You know it could have been a number of things. If you just got the parakeet, then it could have come with a disease and it just died. Anything is possible, but it is possible it caught a bacteria and it killed it...I am sorry about your pet's death. Go on line and do a search "parakeet expert advice" or parakeet expert and maybe they will describe the most common causes of death of these birds.
