I love to swim and I want to continue taking swimming lessons in the summer to learn diving, the problem is, when I dive, my top slips up. I really don't want to get a one piece, cause that means i have to spend more money on a bikini. Is there any kind of bikini that wont like slip up when I dive?

You're going to be better off in a one piece suit, but you may also be able to get away with a tankini & then the bottoms could be worn with a bikini top when you're not practicing your diving.

Nope. If you are going to take diving lessons, you really should get a good one piece. I'd invest in a good one piece (Speedo, Nike or TYR) and buy a cheap bikini at Target. It's really inappropriate to wear a two piece for any kind of swimming or diving lessons unless you are under 7 years old. Good luck with your diving. It sounds like fun!

MIchelle, go with a one piece! If you really want to learn the sport, you have to dress the part. Like any othe rsport, wearing a "uniform" is pretty much mandatory to ensuring the skills are done properly.

I recommend any one-piece suit with an X or Y back to ensure there is no shoulder slippage of the straps.

Bikinis are for the beach and you already have one so no big deal buying a one piece and becoming an awesome diver. Let your dives do the talking, not your bathing suit!

Good luck!

I've never heard of a good bikini, but there are some good two pieces that competitive swimmers can use for workouts, that won't slip up. Check out www.speedousa.com and
www.tyr.com What you want is a workout suit.

Bikini's are super cheap at Target, Ross, TJ Maxx, etc... So are 1 piece suits.

Bikini's are not meant for diving! They are a fashion thing. You want to keep from flashing people get a 1 piece and get it cheap.

i am a swimmer/diver
and i would DEFIENTLY suggest a one piece suit.
No suit can assure a perfect fit. Everyone is diffrent. Go to the speedo website and there are suits you can get cheap. There is a grab-bag you can go to and they are REALLy cheap. the only problem is that they are random and you have no say in what suit you get.
