On Sunday, 3/18, I started spotting, reddish discharge. By the next day it was brownish and it continued like that. I thought it had ended on Friday 3/23. Then Sat. 3/24, I started flowing like the beginning of my regular period. Normally my period lasts heavy for two days, then starts to slow down lasting between 5-7 days. Yesterday I thought I was almost done and then today 3/27, it seems like it is flowing heavier than yesterday. I have been under stress but nothing out of the ordinary. I am now going on day 11 and wondering if it will ever stop. Please help.

OK to be quite honest with you. I am going thru the same thing, except for a much longer period. I don't get my period for like 3 months then have it for about a month and a half. It sucks ***! :) I pass large blood clots. They kinda hurt too! My hubby and I were coming home from vacation in Jamacia and were in JFK...I had shorts and a hoodie on...ready...my hubby says Jill, look down...my legs and front of my shorts were covered in blood. Luggage still on the plane and I still have to come back thru customs. I was sooo embarassed and ran to the bathroom. The airport staff thought i was hiding something...I wasn't. They were giving us such a hard time, I was hysterically crying and still bleeding. I had already had my period etc..I'm not on the pill or anything..I didn't know what was going on....literally I had to show them my bloody underware gross I know...finally they let me get thru customs and get my luggage to get a pad and pants...people thought I was like dieing and at this point so did I. OMG I still embarassed about it! Come to find out, less then a week later I was having surgery. I found out I have endometerious. I had endometerical polyps and I was clotting soo bad, they relased and flowed through. I had like a DNC type surgey, thru the cervix. I was put on some progestrone...spelling these thigns wrong please forgive me. I still pass clots and bleed for what seems like forever. The lining of the uterus was not sluffing off. I would wait about 3 days if it hasn't stopped by then, I would def. go to the OBGYN and have a SONO HISTOGRAM. They put sterile water in the uterus and then stick a camera thing up there and you see it on a machine similar to the ultrasound one. I should be going even now, come to find out I had a polyp the size of a lemon. Insane seeing as the uterus isn't even that big! :) I am going on the 6th week right now of having a semi heavy flow and it does go up and down in the amount that is flowing. Can be quite painful! BOOOO! GO get it checked out! Hell you making me think I should go again too! You're motivating me! :) thanks! Good Luck...keep me posted! :) xo's JILL

hello sorry to ask questions but have recently taken any form of birth control they can mess with your cycle i was on the depo provera contraceptive and since i have been off of it i have had 3 normal periods a month each getting worse but any form of birth control can cause some irregular bleeding but i would highly suggest talking to your doctor to find out what it is and make sure it isn't something more serious or even excises can cause irregular menstruation like i said though you should defenitly go see your doctor asap hope this has helped you some.

No this is not normal. Could you have been pregnant and now having a miscarriage? or it could be a cyst or polyp in your ovaries/uterus. You need to go see your doctor or go to an emergency room. and stress has nothing to do with it.

I would go see a doctor. If your periods aren't normally like that then I would get them checked out asap. If you feel sick, get a temp or get light headed go to hospital straight away.

It's not normal and could be anything from a hormonal imbalance to cancer.

Go to your Gyn and get checked.

you obviously need what is called a curette.it basically means the doctor will clean out your womb as it is shedding more than normal membranes at your period and doesnt know when to stop.
