She is playing some great tennis, and the way she mauled Sharapova just proves it. She has not lost a match this year and looks unstopable. Will she rank #1 again?

If she continues like this, then OF COURSE!!! She seriously seems to be on a mission to show the world what she is capable of. But, you have got a fact wrong in your question. Serena lost 6-3 5-7 3-6 to Sybille Bammer of Austria in the quarter finals of the Hobart Cup in January.

Depends. She doesn't play a lot of tournaments, so whether she deserves to be talent wise, she may not get the ranking. But then agains, she does'nt play the tournaments because of injuries. I think she's really focused now too, after receiving all the criticism about not being in shape or throwing her tennis career away... If she stays injury free and commits herself, then she definitely could.

I don't think so only because she won't play enough. But if she does play enough, she undoubtedly is the best player in the world. After her and her father's comments after her last match with Sharapova, I really hope she starts losing. I certainly wouldn't want her to get hurt... just start losing. Richard Williams needs to start showing some class and shut up.

I love tennis and Serena. She is so talented and original in everyway. I hope she becomes #1 because I love to look at her play. She makes the game that much more interesting.

Personally, i think that she and her sister are the best tennis players in the world. But honestly Serena can be the world's #1 player if she stays physically fit and doesn't have lots of injuries. But she probaly wont.

when Serena Williams is playing tennis at her best,i think she's the best female tennis player but as for getting back to number one in the rankings i don't think so.don't forget that Serena has won 8 grand slam titles in the past and back then she was more driven to prove herself which she has already done several times.she'll probably win more grand slams as long as she's fit and focused.

I hope not. Tennis needs players who will credit there opponents for winning and not those who seem to find excuses for having lost.
