Well I'm looking to buy a new cruiser, but not sure what brand to go with. I like Harleys because they're American made bikes but everyone says they're junk. Looking for fuel injected. Atleast 1500cc.....

My best advise to you is:
Don't let anyone tell you what is best. Check all the reviews on the link below and you'll see experiences/issues with real owners. My self I ride a brand new Kawasaki because that's the one I liked but in my opinion Honda has the best reliable bikes. Just check it out and you'll see.

Make sure that you buy what you like!!! Otherwise you'll be sorry soon and for a long time. I almost made the mistake to get a Honda Sabre, but at the last minute I walked out of Honda to go get my Kawa. I'm so glad I did!!! Love the looks of the Kawa and plus is fuel injected, water cool, fuel gage, belt drive and has more than enough power to push me around.

One comment I would like to make is that its funny how I have seen a lot of comments about Harley's and Metrics. Its funny because some of these guys love Metrics and ride Fords and some of the H-D's ride Honda's. Grow up people!

Harley is not a bad bike, but they have mostly been bare bones, biker-type of bikes. Which do need more adjusting and tightening than the average bike, but by no means is a bad bike. With that said, I would suggest the Kawasaki Vulcan if you are planning to stay away from the Harleys. The Vulcans come in 1500 and up (though have ridden many 1500's I currently own the new 2007 900 custom though and absolutely love it) and are fule injected The bikes are well balanced and look sharp, especially for the price.

Only those who really don't follow Harley Davidson say they are junk. The 70's and early 80's were not good years for Harley bikes because the company was owned by non-motorcyclists. Once it was back in the hands of real motorcyclists, Harleys improved year after year. Some people just continue bad mouthing Harley, stuck in the past, rather than looking at today's facts. Today's Harleys are very reliable, fuel injected, etc. If you really like the Harley, there really isn't anything that should hold you back.

the people here that are biased against harleys just seem to be really outspoken on the issue (meaning a constant daily trolling on the issue)

the 2007 model harleys are all fuel injected i believe, and honestly if you are thinking of a harley you will probably feel disappointed if you end up buying something else
not saying other cycles suck, because i have owned plenty of cycles and never really had any issues with my kawasaki's,honda's,suzuki's,yamaha's, whatever, never owned a victory but i worked there and owned several polaris atv's, i have a harley now and it has made me the happiest by far, just knowing i finally have a harley is so nice

The HD are over 1500cc's they are just as good as any other bike now. I have never had any problems with mine.

If you want the best bike for long trips just buy a new Gold Wing Honda.

Harley's image has improved over the last several years. They make great cruisers, but need TLC (adjustments) a little more regularly.

get a Road King Custom

it looks like the bikes from the 40s and 50s but has ample power for cruising. so far, i haven't found anything that i wanted to do that this bike can't do. it is all personal preference, but this bike turned out to be the best choice for me - i couldn't imagine having to ride anything else now.
