Dont know what to get him, she was little help, I was thinking of giving him cash this year, cash is fun, he'd probably love to pick out his own thing. $20 enough? Would $15 be acceptable, too?

i would go with a gift card instead of cash not that it is tack or anyhting but that way the kid cannot waist the money

Well at that age money isn't a good idea. He would rather see presents wrapped up. It's always fun opening a gift regardless of age. Does he have a video system like ps3 or a 360. Maybe some games that he would like. It don't seem like kids play with toys much anymore but go to a toy store and just look around for something that he might like. If he's your friends son then you must have some idea of what he may like.

A gift card to his favourite store would be fine.
