Ok so in many movies ppl kill animaks for their own lves but animals have feeliongs to! Like in Snakes On A Plane for example the guy feeds the dog to a snake just to save himself. I dont think that that is fair.

Yes they have feelings, emotions, or instincts. They feel and show love, sadness, loyalty, happiness, anger, frustration, fear, etc.

Some animals can communicate these feelings in ways we humans understand, better than others.

It is wrong to assume that we are higher or better than them. That goes for dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, birds - any animal.

That is one reason why some people choose to be vegetarian of course. Because they understand that animals are more similar to us than many like to think.

On the other hand I would probably feed my beautiful dog to a snake just to save myself, because I would reason that I have children to take care of, a longer life to lead, and more destruction would be caused to my human family if I were eaten, than if my dog were eaten.

Also humans have feelings and instincts too, the instinct to survive is a biggie, and that would be part of the reason for me feeding my dog to the snake :)

I would feel very guilty and sad though :(

Ok yeah obviously pets have feelings because they love and are happy and are sad aNd have emotions.
Ok and to all you peeps out there who say animals dont have feelings....WE ARE ANIMALS YOU RETARDS!!!!!!!!!!!
so there for if animals only have "insticnts" and humans are the "higher race" and we are the only ones who have feelings then you are being a hypocrit because we are animals so if i go with all your theories we dont have feelings too which is not true because the only reason i am writing this is because i, an ANIMAL, have FEELINGS about this topic!....
ok im done now.
very good question.....

First off...it is a movie...no animals were harmed in the making of it. Movies aren't real, just look at any scene where the LA freeways are moving at 55 mph (or more) during a week day ;)

If you feel that strongly about animals I hope you are a vegan and wear no leather or fur.

Of course. Everything [well, mostly everything] has feelings! Animals just can't really show it AS well as people can. I don't think it's fair how they kill animals in movies, either. I mean, animals aren't much different from people...so why would we kill them?!?

they do not have feelings. they have instincts, which allow them to react in different ways to different situations. we are the higher beings.
