What happens to the body when one takes supplements of .......?

Question

a product that activates macrophages and natural killer cells, and digests protein compounds? The supplement I am taking is called Protease Plus (in case anyone has heard of it), and is a full spectrum of plant-derived trace minerals that activate enzymes. I'm trying to build up my immune system, I trust in the product, I just want to know what is going on inside me. Thank you :)

The product contains plant derived enzymes that are suppose to break down protein so it can be better absorbed. There are also some statements indicating that the product kills parasites.

There are no published peer reviewed studies that indicate that increasing protein breakdown activates macrophages and/or T cells.

There are, however, some studies that indicate that a simple yeast called 1-3,1-6 Beta Glucan may, in some cases activate a host of immune response mechanisms.
