My 2 year contract with T-mobile will be ending in May and I've been looking at phones and I really like the LG Chocolate. I know it came out with Verizon but I was wondering if they've changed that or if there is a way I can get around that and how I would go about that?

You can't get the VZW Chocolate (LG VX8500) for T-Mobile; what you can do is get the unlocked GSM version of the Chocolate (also known as the LG KG800), and that would work on T-Mobile, you would just have to change some settings so that you could use the SMS, MMS, WAP, etc.
Google "LG KG800" to find out more info on the phone, and the prices.

The choclate phone is exclusive to verizon and will not be sold by any other carrier. If you purchase one with out a contract it will still not work on tmobile because they use a different technology. If you really want the chocolate just port your number to verizon.

hey sara that is an exclusive phone for Verizon. however if you want to pursue that phone. perhaps you could try ebay and see if anyone has it for sale with the sim chip, because i know for a fact they can do that in Pakistan and India. they just take the phone and make it accept the sim chip. now if you want to take your number and move it to verizon wireless. i can further assist you. email me for more details. i just got it with t-mobile and it'll arrive soon (i hope! can hardly wait!) but then i live in germany... so it's the kg800

if u want to get one u have to buy a brand new one and go to tmobile they give u settings.

No.But you can always ask at T-Mobile.
