sadly, unless its a patient of fame or importance, they will work on the doctor and leave the patient helpless...thing is if the doctor gets better he can help save lives of others later on and the patient proally will go back to his monotonous number punching job

The patient would get up and help the doctors work on the dead doctor.

The doctor's working on the original patient would finish that job.

If the doctor was dead, theres not much that can be done besides dragging him to the morgue.

If he's just dying, then he would be rushed to the ER or shock trauma, while the surgeons (who wouldnt be able to help much anyway) would just continue the surgery.

Hopefully the surgical team would call a "code blue" and a team would respond. There would be enough people to take care of both Dr. and patient.

both... there's normally a team of doctors in a surgery, and they can easily divide themselves or call in additional help... but then again, why did the doctor "just die" during surgery?

The still live patient. The dead doc can wait.

they would work on the one with the Health Insurance. A dead man WITH insurance gets priority over a live man WITHOUT insurance.
