I found this crab in my canal. Its so strange looking. What kind is it?

It kind of looks like a hermit crab out of a shell. The picture although not that bad it is difficult to say. Perhaps an alien crab or scorpion crab.

It looks like a to be a hermit crab to me too although the picture is a little blurry if it is they grow out of their shells so you may need to put some bigger ones in there in case he wants a new home

I've never seen one like that take it to a pet store or a vet it looks like a rare maybe even endangered type go and find please just in case it is endangered.
