the new relationship feeling? or being in the security of a long relationship?
with new relationships you get the good feelings over little things that they do and all the butterflies and nervousness and their kissing is just so new and wonderful.
i kinda like the security of the long relationship mysef...im going thru the new relationship thing tho right now.

I really like the new relationship feeling that you get when you think about the person...all the butterflies and excitement when they call or email.
BUT, there's nothing like being in a long-term relationship and not having to worry about playing games, wondering "is he gonna call or should I call him?" "is it too soon to call?" "wonder what he's doing?" "is he serious about me?" etc. And knowing that, at the end of the day, I can come home to a stable secure relationship. There's always someone there for me and someone who stands by me no matter what. It's like having a permanent best friend who lives with you. It's awesome. And sometimes those butterfly feelings come back for certain things.

I think the secret to a long and lasting relationship (Which I am in) is to keep all those feelings and the butterflies etc. and have them remain part of your relatiionship. In fact that is what makes a long, lasting, secure WONDERFUL relationship.

As of Sunday, I am in the beginnings of a beautiful new relationship. I definitely have the nervousness and butterflies!! Never experienced anything like this before. I know he is the one!! And I know in time, I will experience the security your talking about!!! Thanks for this question!

I like the security of the long relationship but something has to spice it up everyonce in awhile to keep it feeling like the new relationship. That is something that I have learned over the years

i am in a long term relationship(marriage) but i miss the butterflies and the nervousness and the first kiss. i think sometimes you lose romance when you are in a long term relationship.
