im going to my friends house in a while, and we wanna use the computer. but her mom doesnt let her usualy use the internet. so the computer has a password. what could we say, an excuse, to make her unlock it? so it will still be unlocked when she leaves and we can use the internet for whatever.

"Just hack around the block"? WHAT.
There is probably a reason her Mother has placed a password on the computer. That computer is her Mother's property and she has a right to keep you and your friend off of it.
You could try using safe mode though.

well you could use the simplest excuse, like doing a school research and if she wouldn't unlock it, then say that the two of you would need to leave the house and rent in the internet cafe,,
or you can try starting your pc on the safe mode, by pressing f8 during the boot process, at the very start screen of the pc, just keep pressing it, and some options should appear.

OK I'LL TRY:"Mom can u live the computer unlock we need to study about the earthly settlers and the teacher have us a link to study from and we haven't even start because u don't leave the computer unlock so how am i going to study?"

Just say your wanting to get some research done on a History project. If that doesn't work just use safe mode (keep pressing F8 while booting up comp) and then just go onto the administrator account.

It has a password protected user? So you can start it, but get right up to the account login, and then you're stuck with the password?
Do this.
Load up to the welcome screen where you login. Press ctrl+alt+delete twice, a box will load up. in the User box, type Admin, in the password box, leave it completely blank. Press ok, and you should be in.
If your friends mum has gone one step further, and have locked the PC with administartive passwords, it probably won't work, but most likely she has'nt....try that, give it a shot, and see what happens....and don't blame me if you get in trouble..lol

You are going to this womans house.There for you must show her and her belongings respect.If you and her daughter is not allowed on the computer then respect the woman and deal with it.Would you want your friend to come up with something that will disrepect your mom or her belonings?

You need to look something up for school. History for example "Mom, I need to research Ben Franklin leave the computer unlocked."

if the computer is locked via computer password and the OS is windows xp you can make a password reset disk to get rid of the password. you can make a password reset disk using these instructions:

note: when the instructions say to insert a blank formatted disk they mean a floopy disk not a CD
