I have a rash and im not sure if its ringworm or not, i think it could be because i have kittens with ringworm, but then again, it doesnt really look like ringworm. I am a little worried about it and about it spreading, so i asked my mom to take me to a dermatologist. She didnt want to because she just thought it was a small rash that would go away. Its been almost 2 weeks now... also shes a nurse but doesnt speacialize in dermatology. Should i continue asking her to go to the doctor? or just drop it and wait for the rash to go away?

May be talk to the school nurse... and she can send a note home to tell your mother that you need medical attention,
Or Just go by yoursel!

You dont have to specialize in dermatology to know what a rash is. If you have any anti-fungial cream at home then keep that on it if it is ringworm. If it is ringworm it will be a little patch and it will be round. Tell your teacher or something, because they don't like people walking around school with ringworm. The nurse will have to help you.
As for your mom, maybe she thinks it isn't anything. Just keep talking to her about it.

I would suggest going to the store and picking up some rash cream and maybe even some for ring worm and see if it goes away.
If it doesnt then, I would schedule an appt to see a doctor or dermatologist.

You should keep bugging her about it, she'll eventually get tired of hearing about it and take you. Anyways, i don't see why she wouldn't want to know what it is if it's been there for 2 weeks already, obviously is something more than just a rash.

Ringworm is not treated by a dermatologist. It's treated by a REGULAR DOCTOR.

If she won't take you- tell your school nurse and make sure you let her know your mom refused you medical care.

Continue to ask her. She may have forgotten that it has been two weeks. Keep asking her as long as the rash is around.
