I'm supposed to have a small birthday party this weekend before a school dance. It's actually a pretty big birthday. Anyway, all the people I'm inviting are "friends" but there is a lot of drama and they tend to fight. A lot. Should I cancel the party? I mean, this could ruin my birthday.

There are only 5 people who have been invited. Our group has so many problems.

If there is to be any type of violence, then cancel the party! Fights generally lead to death and that involves the law. Why end your birthday with the remembrance of someones death on your mind.

A birthday is a joyous time for celebrating and not fighting.
It appears, too, that you have not chosen your friends wisely!

Do not cancel your party. If necessary, do not invite those who you feel may ruin your evening. Otherwise, have an adult agree beforehand to escort the "fighters" to the door if there are any disturbances. Guests should always display good manners at social gatherings--any decent person will know this. Enjoy your special day!

Maybe try scaling the party down to people you know can get a long and people who you will have a good time with. Maybe as little as 3 or 4 of your better friends.

I say yes. Cause this happened to me. I invited over 30 people to my party and they all started to fight and people started to cry and I started cry... .I hate that day!

well this is what i'd do...
get a video camera, sit back, and record the drama, and show them it later so they can realize how ridiculous they're all being, and that their drama just ruined ur birthday (if you have it, and it goes bad)
