I have always wondered how a world can be seperated by skin color. A person should not be judged by the color of there skin, but by the contents of there heart. (If what you just read made you cry, please tell me, thanks.) We all just need to get real and understand that skin color has absolutely nothing to do with the love and kindness that people show. I am a child of GOD and know that you should love your enemies. Please people, stop the fighting and seperation, and join together.

I did not cry because your question is an old one and I settled it for myself years ago. God loves color and variety in all his creation so why would it be different for people than for flowers and trees and land. Are all roses red? Are all trees green? Are all people white? Are all mountains gray?
You are right, the trouble lies in the hearts of men of poor understanding. We can only set an example for others and pray that they come to know the Lord themselves. God is love and hatred is foreign to his nature and should be so to his children as well.

I personally have never let skin color affect how I think of someone. Well actually... i am more attracted to a man with a tan! hehe Who are the enemies anyways? I think most of the world has fought and is fighting over religious beliefs. Not color of skin.

Of course the person's skin color doesn't reveal "who they truly are", but due to institutionalized race-based inequalities as well as society's cultures imposed in the structure of American society... a person's skin color can give you a probability of what kind of a neighborhood that person grew up in, what educational opportunities that person had, how likely the person is to commit a crime, how likely the person is to die of a heart attack, how likely they are to be involved in organized religion, etc etc,.

So, while the color of a person's skin makes absolutely no difference in who that person truly is, the color of someone's skin will often tell you what it is statistically probable that they do or how difficult/easy things have been for that person.

It made me cry when I first heard it in 1965 from Dr King.
We're on the same page bro but I don't think skin color symbolizes anyone.

First of all, you're assuming there is a God or some superior being who created us. I disagree with that. Moving on, skin color cannot determine who a person is. A person will be stupid whatever color he is and nothing would change that.

i completely agree. however, there are also some pretty racist people who will argue with you to the death that you are wrong and that certain people are just sub-human. i've met people like that, and from the sounds of it, you have too.
unfortunately, that's just the way it is. nothing you do can change the hate in some people's hearts. it's poison, it's everlasting. these people just refuse to think.

You are definitely wise. Skin color is just an outer shell - it's what on the inside that is important.

I revel in kind in dermis colour. If each person have been the equal dermis colour, it might be uninteresting. Racists might say folks are unpleasant considering that in their dermis colour. I see cosmetic in all dermis colours. But I have my courting personal tastes. ;)

Colour does not symbolise anyone, it's their thoughts and actions that really define a person and their potential.
