Pls adv the meaning of "late green " on the following conversation.

Kate : I had an accident this morning. I was turning right at the intersection and this car was suddenly in front of me.

perhaps a 'delayed' green light, where one side of the traffic at an intersection is allowed to proceed for a period of time before the opposite side's light changes to green? Usually there is a sign that marks the signal as a "Delayed Green" so people will know not to start moving just because the oncoming side has already started.

I'd say, Jen wants to know if Kate turned right on an amber light.
I've heard it called a late green.
