ok may i ask another dumm q. were do i find the sound driver ?

Click on Start, then right click on My Computer Icon, click on Properties, then click on the Hardware tab, then Device Manager button and scroll down to Sound, Video and Controllers, expand and click on your sound device. Right click your Sound device, click on Properties then click on the Driver tab.
