Sometimes i have a real hard time following the puck, and i remember back in the 90s fox had that blue streak to help follow the puck. I think they should bring it back, what do you think?

The only people that liked the puck tracker were people who never watch hockey. Experienced hockey fans know that much of the critical play is away from the puck anyway. maybe they could add it as an optional feature like subtitles, but it shouldn't come back for everybody.

It was a much criticized feature, but i think it had its nice points. The main reason why most people have a hard time following is because of some poor camera work - not because of any the viewers.

But It does help keep track of the puck, though that isn't a problem for me most of the time. But there are times where everyone, including the players, are looking around for it. So it has its moments. The old school fans hated it though, and i can understand that as well.

The coolest feature was that it also relayed the speed of the puck. That was awesome. I would like to have that back.

Maybe if they brought it back, but made it real subtle it would work. Still, i say the biggest problem and best solution lay with the cameramen. They need to bring some more experienced cameramen in that can anticipate the puck movements.

Try watching the players more, if you understand their reactions and movements then you could guess where the puck is or is going without actually seeing it.

NO, NO, NO!!! That was the most annoying thing about watching hockey games. I was just talking about that during lunch at work not long ago. Everyone who watches hockey doesn't like it, but everyone who wants to start watching, does. The more you watch, the easier it will be to follow the puck. Eventually you can kind of figure out where it should be going and you just automatically look there. Don't give up hope.

But, on the flip side...I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring it back. For some stupid reason, the NHL doesn't get a lot of news or ESPN time - which disappoints me. But if more and more people are wanting to become hockey fans, or at least start watching some games, the streak would be of help. It could be a lure to catch some more fans. And if that's the case, I'm ok with it.

Let's Go Pens!!!

No, if you cant follow the puck then go get glasses. Hockey is the fastest sport on earth and you cant keep up then go watch basketball. That blue dot was a distraction. Its not hard to follow the puck if you know hockey, you should be able to tell where the players are looking and where the puck is going.

I honestly believe it is more of a distraction then being helpful. If you get a large screen TV you wont have that problem as I know it has help me. But, having that streaking thing constantly moving around was more distracting then trying to watch the puck. Then while trying to follow the streaking puck I would miss other things on the ice. Sorry but I dont think they should..
That is my thought about that.

that was one of the stupidest things i had ever seen in my life. just pay attention to the game and try to understand it a little more then you know where the puck will be when a player dumps it in the corners or banks it of the boards or glass. you just to to understand more about the game then you will see the puck better and know where to look when it is past, just look at the way the players a re positioned then you will see the puck fine. and clean your TV you might have dirt on it or some little spot you might mistaking for the puck.

HAHA! Awesome question! I used to love NHL on FOX! More annoying than helpful, I liked the puck tracker best when it would turn red during a hard slapshot.

The real question here is: Who misses the robots who would turn each other into pucks and shoot them before the commercial? I miss NHL on FOX.

If I were to say "yes", that would be the final straw, you would see 100 angry Y!A Hockey traditionalists lynch clueless_nerd.

Don't worry, I'm not going to say yes.

Just watch a lot of Hockey, it gets easier as you gain experience.

Besides, you shouldn't be watching the puck at ALL times. Watch how Goalies position themselves, how Defenseman battle for ground in front of the net, where players WITHOUT the puck position themselves.

If optional, perhaps. However, if the players are looking for it, isn't it only fair that you should be too?

the speed tracker was a good idea. the glow puck was annoying.

And the Kings did sign Johnson- 2 or 3 years. up to 2 mil with bonuses.
