It depends on the state you are in. First you need to be able show some proof that you were fired for pregnancy. How long have you been at the job? If it has been a long time and you were given no cause when fired, you may be able to show at least the appearance of grounds.

Next you need to look at your state. Is it a "right to work" state. This means that you have the right to work and the company has the right t hire or fire you. I live in one of these, SC. The boss can fire you for having blue eyes. The only thing they can NOT fire you for is a protected status such as a disability, race, religion... etc.

If you are not in a right to work state and you have real grounds to show it is due to pregnancy call the Department of Labor in your area and speak to a civil attorney.

Good luck

From the sounds of it, you were fired for cause. I would simply continue to send out resumes.

You cant be fired for being pregnant, though you can be fired for not doing your job. Did you have a doctor's note?

Need more info here.

first no one can fire you for being pregnant you should still be able to do your job as you would normally do the only thing you should have done is gotten a note from your doctor stating u couldn't do any heavy lifting.

I would send a letter to your employer notifying them of your intent to seek monetary compensation for being fired with out cause. (I.E. because you're pregnant.) Then I would find an attorney. Seriously, this sucks. I hope you follow this through.
