Warm, coastal, hip, Beachboys.

On the other hand, you have Sunderland - my home town.

Cold, coastal, broken hips, Zone 57.

Can you remember Zone 57? They had a minor hit with 'John Kettley is a weather man' Even got on TOTP. For those of you who do remember them and ever wondered where they got their name. Tyne & Wear is divided up into zones for public transport. Zone 57 is Sunderland town Centre and most likely they chose that because they'll have signed on the dole at Crown House (same as I did) which is in Zone 57.

I'm not on the dole now by the way, I've been off it for years and years and years and ... you get the picture.

I think that I don't ever want to live there again. I'm a native who grew up in Newport Beach (Harbor High...87!!!). I still love to visit my friends and family, but I will not live there again.

But I think that everybody should visit CA. Where else can you get a tan in December during the day and then drive two hours to the mountains and go night skiing?

The first thing that comes to mind when someone says "California" to be, I'm afraid is raisins.
Then sunshine, actresses & models. I have never been to California & have no wish to.

beautiful, not in the steriotypical way, in NoCal we don't have palm trees, warm beaches, or the Dodgers (thankfully), instead we have "the city" (not "frisco" or "san fran", when people say that we know they're from out of town), high rises, fog , and the Giants (YAY)
best city in california!

I think sun and surf...wish I could live out there. Of course, I live near Detroit, so everywhere else seems like heaven to me, except the Dakotas.
