This "worm" appeared about 3 weeks ago, and each week there are more of them. They almost look like a worm that has been CUT in half, one end is flat well the other is more pointed. We thought they might be european crane fly larva, but these are an inch long? if you know what they are, how do i get rid of them ? I am beginning to feel like I am in a Horror movie!!

They are grubs and they are larva. Japanese Beetle larva. Use a store bought grub control or make an inexpensive tobacco tea. I use it and it works great. It is non-toxic to humans and pets, but kills insects perfectly. E-mail me if you want the recipe.

If it is white or off white it is a grub. But if it is out early & when it rains that sounds like warms which is brown to purple.

If it is warms these are good for your yard but grubs can make dead spots in your grass.

For the tobaco cure just use half of a pouch wraped in cloth & let it soke in hot water then put in a yard sprayer & have fun.

I hope you luck.
