If you are talking about on Yahoo! Answers, I think alot of people use this place as a place to vent, and not have to worry about getting their butts kicked by someone they offend. It's kind of like a child taunting the tiger in the cage at the zoo, because he knows no matter how angry the tiger gets, the tiger can't do anything about it. It gets to me too sometimes. Don't let em bring you down, though. I've met some really nice people on here. In the end, who's gonna be more respected? I've noticed that most people who are rude get alot of thumbs down for their answers, so there may be more nice people than you think. When I read a rude answer, I just click the thumbs down, so I don't have to view it again.

Well, think of it this way. Much of Life involves suffering, and there has been a lot of suffering within the past fifty years, and sometimes it goes back to how your parent taught you as a child. If the parents was nice, then the children are usually nice; if not, they will probably become rude people. A lot of parents have been in Vietnam War, for example, and when they come back, they're often cold and mean because of what happened in the war. We just have to learn how to change people's thoughts and their attitude, by being nice and kind even if they are rude to us.

It means that you are looking for people to be rude. While I don't deny that they exist, there are a lot more good people in this world than rude & nasty ones. People will be there to help you when you least expect it and you will witness kindness often if you are watching for it. If you are busy judging people harshly, you will miss a lot of really good things. The other thing I would like to mention is that if you are rude to people, that is how they will treat you in return. I prefer my cup to be "half full".

Because since about 1970, discipline by parents has been lax. People born after about 1970 feel they have a right to say what they want and really don't care who they hurt in the process. It kind of goes along with the "time out" chair. You understand quickly as a child that there isn't much to having sit in a chair for misbehaving. I hope you are part of the group that still says "please" and "thank you." It's always nice to see someone smile and be polite.
