I am going to be starting Yaz on this Sunday. It is my first birth control. I am 15 and going to be taking it for heavy period, cramps, and long periods, and irregular periods. I was wondering how short it makes your periods. Mine are 6 days long and very heavy. Will it make them less heavy and shorten the time. Also when do I get it? Do I get my period when I starting taking the white (placebo) pills? Does it make them regular?

How did Yaz work for you? Did you like it?

Also how much does Yaz cost for a month?

Thanks

Is it the same as Yasmin?

Well, im on yasmin (not sure if it the same as Yaz) but i only have a three day period with little cramping - now when i say litttle, i mean not as much as i used to. I had the most terrible cramps that would last for hours. now i get cramps that are more manageable, they still hurt, but not as bad. Its great for that kind of stuff, plus you can choose to skip your period if the timing doesnt suit. Love it

Hi! I took Yaz for about a year and it was great! Periods lasted maybe 3 days, start to finish. Cramping was nonexistant. You'll love it!
