how to make my skin lighter?

im indian and i get really dark when summer comes
so i just want to know how to keep my skin normal shade so nothing drastice just wat ever to keep it a few shades lighter
because my mom gets mad when i get to dark cuz in india thats consodered ugly and i want to still be able to go out with my friends and play in the sun so plez help

be sure to put on a really protective sunscreen. thats funny that your mom wants you to be lighter when a lot of people go to tanning beds to get darker. i hope that helps

Skin can't be lightened as easily as it can be darkened. I wouldn't even attempt it, and I would also ignore Mom in this case. I will never get what it is with people from India who can't stand their own skin color. They're brown over there, so why don't they just live with it?

Sunscreen is always nice though, but it sounds like Mom needs to get over that stuff she learned over there and live in reality. Here in the States, it doesn't matter. End of story.

Wow! Many Hispanics feel this same way, the lighted the better. This is a shame! I seen many people who lighten their skin and they look weird. My skin however does get light when I use a product with Retinol in it. You can uses Estee Lauder Diminish or get an RX from you dr. of Retin a. It will make your face light, only use every other day because it can dry out your face.

first of all, there is nothing wrong with being dark.
in fact, that's why so many people like getting tanned or go to tanning salons: to get darker!

there is no way to get your skin lighter, but just remember to always have some sunscreen on to protect yourself from the sun's rays.
