I am 19 weeks pregnant and having strange episodes where it feels like there is a hair in my throat wich in minutes will gag me and make me vomit. I had NO morning sickness(thank god) but this is really terrible. I do not feel naseus before or after it happens but it is happening so often that I am starting to think there may be a real reason for it or something I can do to prevent it. I have already tried brushing my teeth and tounge and that has been more a hinder than a help. Ive tried eating drinking, not eating and drinking. I just cant stop it. If anyone knows why this is happening or has a solution please let me know. All ideas will be considered!

I had a bad cold with my second pregnancy, which resulted in lots of throat phlegm, which resulted in lots of vomiting even though I was well past morning sickness. But you didn't mention that... It sounds like something could be irritating your vagus nerve. This is the nerve you hit if you stick your finger down your throat to make yourself vomit. Tickling it causes coughing and/or vomiting (as you've noticed).

I honestly have no idea how to solve that or what is causing the irritation! I know that some cough medicines are supposed to work by soothing the vagus nerve to prevent dry coughs, but I don't know which ones, or whether any are safe during pregnancy. I guess you'd need to ask the doctor about this... and double-check the "diagnosis" too please :-)

That's ordinarily suggests the establishing of a bloodless. If it is taken per week that mainly simply way that you have been having a moderate bloodless. If it lasts longer than two weeks cross investigate with a healthcare professional.

Wow, I have never heard of this. Though I know your gag reflex sometimes gets stronger with pregnancy. Have you tried honey? Something thick like that my coat your throat and help.
