I have some mausoleum plots at Forest Hills. Why would I be listed as a creditor? Am I going to loose my plots?

You better die quickly so you can use the plot before they go bankrupt!

You are listed as a creditor because you have paid them money for services/products that you have not yet received. Read the notice carefully to find out what is required from you to protect your plots/money. If you don't respond at all, then you will lose your rights to them.

Bankruptcy should not affect your ownership rights. You could file an appearance and assert your rights. Follow the case and be sure that the plan does not purport to affect your vested property rights. Maybe there could be a committee of funeral plot owners to protect your collective rights. If there is a plan, read it carefully to be sure that you are "unimpaired." Get a lawyer if necessary. Better to get a lawyer to represent you and others similarly situated.
