I have 2 areas I have vegetable gardens in. One is fenced and one isn't. What would be my best choice to plant in the unfenced area? Does planting marigolds around the edge work to keep them out? I don't want to use poision because of my pets, but I shot 6 rabbits in one afternoon! They're thick.
What about windchimes or something? I sure hate to think of my garden going for a rabbit snack! Thanks!

Unfortunately they like almost any veggie. What I'd suggest is to go buy a rabbit repellant. They work like the liquid dog repellants and the rabbits smell them and don't want to get around them. My prefered brand is Liquid fence, but I've also seen good things from a product called Shake Away. If you want to do tomatoes you could put them in tomato cages and it would also make them harder to get to for the rabbits.

Fish emulsion is sold as a fertilizer. It's organic, and doesn't stink to our noses, but the little vegetarians don't care for it at all. Use it as a foliar feed(spray) after it rains. It washes off with no trouble from the edible plant parts. It is great plant food. Spray plants as they grow, once they get over head of the rabbits, the rabbits usually leave them alone.
I used this to try to revive a bean row that the rabbits had nibbled, and was amazed the next evening to see the little critters come to the row, sniff and run away. The deer even lost interest. Give it a try. I worked in a farm store for several years and recommended this to my customers and they loved it.

As an organic farmer . I use onions around my other vegetables. The smell from the onions keep the rabbits away. Garlic too is a deterrent. edge your garden with onion bulbs. Been working on my farm for years.

You can also purchase a bottle of Fox Urine at any sporting goods store that carries hunting supplies. Foxes are natural predators of rabbits, and therefore the rabbits will be repelled by the smell of it!

All you have to do is sprinkle it around the perimeter of your garden. Natural and inexpensive...
