Maybe not unusual but definitely uncommon. I was a Provisioning Analyst in the Integrated Logistic Support department at a shipbuilder. Only three of us there and only about a dozen shipbuilders. This was only done for Navy contracts.

I was a sleep tech. I helped the doctor (not a medical doctor) diagnose sleep disorders by studying brain waves, ekg, leg movements, and airflow of patients. There is not one person who asked me what a sleep tech was that I didn't have to explain it to. But registered sleep techs do start out at $20 an hour......
