the truly budget balancing and surplus appeared great whilst they released the preparation, yet grew to become into an entire fantasy. the federal government borrowed against social risk-free practices's surplus to do the truly balancing act. in case you do not have faith me, that's high-quality. look it up for your self and not have faith others. right this is the link to the Treasury's historic documents section. look up the receipts (sales) and outlays (expenditures) and you will see the excess. Then look at what makes up the receipts and you will see "Social coverage" (yet another call for Social risk-free practices) totalled in with it. as quickly as you eliminate those figures from the receipts and outlays, you will see previous a shadow of a doubt that the cost variety grew to become into not balanced. you will additionally hear of this whilst they communicate social risk-free practices reform. The SS have faith will pass bankrupt in the close to destiny (around 2012-2015) and at which era the federal government will pay off the non-public loan. This of direction creates an outstanding greater situation for who ever is in workplace at that factor, for the reason that they'd have even much less funds to budget with.

No it goes like this. You have asked similar questions before ..

Clinton inherited an economy on its way up from tax cuts in the 80s. he then cut the military budget by 25% to generate alot of cash flow. He didnt balance a budget , he slashed the hell outta the military to spend the money elsewhere ( on debt ).

Now OBL... which time? the time(s) that he was offered to Clinton on a plate but he wouldnt take him?? granted Bush's admin should have caught him as well.

We're all responsible for the budget, and not catching osb!!! I can't tell the differance between Clinton and Bush anymore, except that one screwed with the office staff, and the other screwed with the world!!!! In my humble opinion, politicians suck no matter what they preach, and the guys we need to run the country won't run for office, because Clinton and Bush et al have made such a JOKE of it!!!!!!

Well, this is sort of an illogical leap. I have demanded that you give Clinton's Congress credit for passing the 1997 Block Grant Reform, and working with Clinton to "balance the budget" (even though they did it by funny math and "borrowing" from the SS trust fund).

But I would not argue with you if you said this was "Bush's war." He wanted to go. And Congress voted to go, too. But it's still Bush's war.

And I said all that to say this: if Clinton had said, "Let's go after Osama," or even, "Let's take out Saddam," and Congress voted AGAINST it, then your scenerio would be correct.

Sorry, cutie. NO.

I will give Clinton credit for turning down Osama when the Sudanesse offered him to the US on a silver platter. We haven't caught Osama yet, but we will. Now before you think I'm a GOP'r, I'm not. My big problem with the GOP is after Bush won in 2000 they started spending like Druken' Liberals. They forgot why they were elected in 94, fiscal resposibility.

Well, Clinton DIDN'T catch bin Laden. You should read Dereliction of Duty, a good book exposing Clinton's follies. As for the budget, the GOP-run Congress has to control what economic things pass.
